A memorial concert for Chas Hodges – of the iconic duo, Chas and Dave – will be held in December, with proceeds going to the singer’s favourite charity: WaterAid.
For years, Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock performed their own unique brand of cockney-laced boogie-woogie rock for adoring audiences up and down the land. Sadly, however, Chas passed away in September of this year.
To honour his memory, his long-time musical partner and friend, Dave Peacock, will perform a memorial concert at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on Monday 17th December 2018. Tickets are on sale now and proceeds from the show will go to Chas’ favourite charity, WaterAid.
‘It’ll be very strange for me, playing a show without my mate,’ admitted Dave. ‘But I’m sure he’d have been well pleased with the line-up that will be paying tribute to him.’
Artists from across the world of entertainment will come together to pay tribute to Chas, alongside members of his family.
‘Chas Hodges was a valued long-standing supporter for WaterAid, raising money for us at events and asking for donations in lieu of birthday presents,’ said the charity’s Chief Executive, Tim Wainwright.
‘We are honoured to be a beneficiary of the celebration evening to remember Chas’ life and achievements. The proceeds from the event will help WaterAid transform lives by bringing clean water to some of the world’s poorest communities – a cause we know he was passionate about.
‘Our thanks and condolences go to Chas’ family and friends.’
Tickets for the event are on sale now and are available here.
