Christmas comes early to Dorney Lake for local Alzheimer's and Dementia charity

Exactly one month before Christmas, on 25th November, over 500 Santa Clauses  will descend to walk, jog, run or scoot 5km to show their support and fundraise for people with dementia and their families.

The event will take place by the lake in Dorney, Buckinghamshire, to raise funds for charity ADS – Alzheimers Dementia Support.

Previous years have seen people from all over the world attend this festive family-friendly event.

Thanks to the beautiful surroundings, easy access and flat terrain, it is suitable for all ages and abilities – from 4 legs, to 4 wheels.

Supported by the event's key sponsor Mortgage Required and supporting sponsor Hale & Co, local businesses have been involved from the planning stages, stuffing goody bags and donating fantastic prizes.

Prizes will be handed out aplenty – bring awarded to categories such as 1st & 2nd Fastest Male & Female Runners, Best Dressed Dog, Best Dressed Wheels and more.

The charity are inviting everyone to take part – from wheelchair Santas, to dogs on leads, to kids in scooters and pushchairs.

You can currently use the promo code EARLYSANTA for discounted online tickets at registration until 13th October. Registration is taking place here.

The very popular 'ADS' Annual Santa Fun Run will take place on Sunday 25th November 2018 from 1pm (with a Santa Flash Mob warm up at 1.30pm & starters' orders at 1.45pm).

Once the run is under way, attendees will be invited upstairs, where the wonderful singer Leah Lyle will be performing before the medal awards ceremony at 3pm.
